What’s the difference between a Personal Travel Planner and a travel agent?

A personal travel planner creates a unique itinerary based on your personal travel requirements. A good itinerary will take into account your budget, travel style, interests, and personality, as well as where you want to go and what you want to do. You will be provided with all of the information, connections and links that you need to make your travel dream a reality. While personal travel planners create unique itineraries and take all the hard work out of planning a trip, they do not make the bookings themselves.

A travel agent simply makes bookings on your behalf. They often must base their choices on the size of the commission and which places their organisation works with.

Project Goals is an independent organisation. We just want to share our insider knowledge and experience with fellow travel lovers.

FAQ

• Do you book flights, accommodation etc?

  No. You make the bookings, we provide you with all the details to do so at your convenience.

• How does the payment work?

  After you have made contact and we chat to see if you would like to proceed, we will send you an invoice and travel agreement. Payment is made in full via Paypal. 

• Do you offer refunds?

  No, payment is final. If we cannot complete your itinerary due to circumstances unrelated to you, we will issue you a full refund. 

• Can I make changes to the itinerary?

  Yes. We allow for you to make changes twice for free. Any changes afterwards will incur a fee.

• How much notice do you need before I travel?

  The more notice the better to allow for the best experience for you - generally 2-3 months in advance of your travel date. However, we can do a quick turnaround itinerary (may be charged more depending on how quick!).  

• Can I just have part of my trip planned?
  
  Yes! We will work with you for whatever part of your trip you need planned.
